  I’m 66 and retired. I spent 50 years in the workforce and I made exactly ONE real, lifelong friend. The rest were just co-workers.

  For thirty years, every morning someone at work and I would talk, share, chat. They retired, never heard from them again. People at work arent friends, its forced proximity basically.

  This video is spot on. Im 50 now,  absolutely no friends besides me and my dog. I accept that, and that's life.

  My Dad told me long ago when I was a teenager, " if at the end of your days, if you can count your true friends on one hand, you've done well." And that one hand also includes family. And now, at 73 years old,  that old man knew exactly what the hell he was talking about. Professional friendships aren't friendships.
