  Best Before dates : the food will still contain the nutrition as described in the nutrition information. After that date it is still edible, might still even taste great, but will have lost some of its nutritional value.<br><br>Expiration date : the subject will still perform as prescribed, afterwards it will lose some of its potency and effectiveness.

  Worked in food industry my whole life. Generally Best By dates are based on when control groups find the taste is off. For some products, cheese is a great example, the reported &quot;off taste&quot; IS due to mold.
