  Just finish looting the place. My advice for anyone is to set a base where you can set your spawn point, leave all of your gear in a chest, and only take a hoe with you. Then go crazy destroying the shriekers, as many as you can before the warden kills you, and then start again until you have destroyed all the shriekers.

  Got back into Minecraft last week, havent played in like 10 years and my god this game is fuckin awesome now, I had to start a second play through and not even 30mins in found a ancient city, was hella stoked

  Started to explore with wool and died a lot. Decided to put a bed at the entrance and run for it and destroy every spawner while dying countless amount of time but it was worth it 😂

  I have been playing Minecraft for a month. I am happily chilling in the Overworld, delaying going into Nether or anywhere else. This past week I have been brave enough to go caving in a huge cave system under my island. It has taken me a few hours to explore, and countless torches. I found an Amethyst diode, which is a big moment for me! Last night, while trying to go deeper, in the search for diamonds, I was slowly descending, adding blocks to make better access, adding torches for light. Suddenly there was this shriek! Everything went dark! I definitely touched cloth and ran away! I then went straight onto Google to find out what the hell just happened, which led me to this video. <br><br>I will be avoiding with my iron armour and diamond pick axe. I will dig deeper elsewhere!

  Tips - part of the problem navigating the ancient city is that it is dark. 2 solutions: place wool blocks with one side open (the side you are confident no sensors are on) before placing torches. Additionally, you can get up close to the ceiling and place glow berry vines periodically. They will slowly grow down and illuminate the city.<br><br>Always place down a bed outside the city. Worst case scenario, at least you respawn close to collect your items.<br><br>If you summon the Warden, either run away in a straight line until you hit a wall, and then start digging in a straight line (DO NOT STOP) or, if you have scaffolding, start placing it down as you ascend until you hit ceiling, and start mining up. Again, DO NOT STOP. The sonic boom from the Warden has a long range and penetrates all blocks, so walls are useless - distance is your only safety.

  Tip: If youre playing multiplayer and the other person is reliable at stealth you can break two shriekers at the same time and they won&apos;t shriek.

  Set up a safe zone by clearing skulk &amp; lighting the place up to start then always be aware of where you are relative to your safe areas &amp; the path back toward your safe zone.<br><br>When the warden spawns, just sprint towars your safe area. &nbsp; 50-60 blocks is more than good. &nbsp; I like to pillar up &amp; watch him for a bit until he despawns. &nbsp;<br><br>Then go back, break the shrieker that spawned him, and continue clearing skulk. &nbsp;<br><br>If there is more than 1 shrieker in the area when I need to break one, &nbsp;I just go ahead &amp; break as many as I can. &nbsp; It only counts as 1 trip &amp; even if the warden will spawn, &nbsp;I usually have time to break 2 or 3 before I flee 😂<br><br>This has been the fastest, safest, and most fun way for me to clear ancient cities.<br><br>At first I brought a ton of wool with me, but I found myself leaving wool all over the place, breaking tons of shears, &amp; wasting time.<br><br>This way you know what to expect &amp; the process goes more quickly. &nbsp;The warden spawn is always a little freaky, but your chances of dying are very small.
