  The only sad part about Emma Stone being one of the best and most acclaimed actresses of our time is that we don&apos;t get to see her in comedic roles like these anymore

  The parents are pretty hands off which makes sense because Olive is so independent, but they did check in with her: after the principal stuff (both), after Brandon came over (mom), when she was prepping the corsets (dad), during movie night (both), and at the lookout point (mom). Sure they could have pushed harder, but they gave her plenty of opportunities to loop them in.<br><br>I think the whole Rhiannon thing is one of the reasons why this is more girl-coded. You see her as kind of an unrealistic character to have a friend that&apos;s so clearly not a friend, but I can guarantee you almost all girls know or knew a &quot;friend&quot; like that

  speaking as someone who was a teen girl with a friend who had a &quot;strong personality,&quot; I found Rhiannon to be a very believable character. She&apos;s the type who wants you to come do things with her, sure, but she doesn&apos;t give any time <i>back</i> to you. &nbsp;When you try to talk to her, she steamrolls over you with her own stuff or has to split because she&apos;s not listening to you anyways. I&apos;ve known parents like hers, too, and those types of parents either purposely or inadvertently tend to raise self-centered kids. &nbsp;Trust, Rhiannon was one of the most real things in this movie. Getting to dress in those tops Olive wore to school totally wasn&apos;t, though.

  i always thought todd didn&apos;t have a lot of screen time through the movie BECAUSE he never believed the rumors. the whole movie is about the angst and the whole point was he was the only one who knew what kind of person she really was, more so than her best friend even.

  You&apos;re still one of my favorite react channels because unlike most others you take the time to discuss the material of the movie. <br>And you usually have some pretty good takeaways from what a movie has to say. Just want to make sure you know you&apos;re all appreciated ^^

  It’s crazy seeing Lisa Kudrow portraying such vindictive villain in this movie when she was always so adorable as Phoebe Buffay! &nbsp;It was nice seeing her playing against her type. We should all be so lucky as to have parents like Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson portrayed here. They are a blast in this movie. Lol
