I was in a studio session in Camden last year and the singer recommended that I listen to Stephen Wilson Jr.. Later that evening we went to the Hawley Arms for a beer and SWJ randomly walks in, turns out he had a day off from his UK tour. We chatted to him for about an hour on music and touring, super lovely guy and since then I've been a big fan. Seriously talented songwriter

Been addicted to Stephen's stuff last couple of months since I saw that Print Shop performance. That "I'm A Song" made me weep like a fackin' baby. 😂 I watched it 4 times in a row before moving onto "Kid" & "Father's Son" which had the same impact. The man pulls at your soul with his lyrics & projection. Incredible.

Stephen Wilson Jr doing Stand By Me gave me chills. His use of dynamics and the space where he chooses not to play guitar is very emotive. Fantastic musician.

Stephen Wilson Jr. showed up on my TikTok "for you" feed one day with the song Cuckoo. I looked him up and was instantly hooked. I listed to his record for about 4 months straight where my favourite song on the record changed about 6 times. I still have yet to meet another human face to face that even knows who he let alone is a fan. Now I know why his music appeals to me so much. I can never articulate why a song or type of music hits me like it does but you do so brilliantly! Love it!

don't know why the connection is so strong with Steven's music,  I think it's like a generational resonance with the same musical influence and being latch key kids ✌️💚

Thank you so much for sharing this song from Stephen Wilson Jr. and your wonderful insight, with your audience. I found it last year after the sudden loss of my friend, and my father's passing earlier that same year.  The song just surfaced in my YT feed at that time, as if I was supposed to hear it. I hope this song speaks to everyone who grieves for the ones they've lost. Cheers to you for delving into this song, and continued success to you, Justin.
