I have been doing parkour in this game for the past 11 years. I always come back to it. To me, XCX is the best open world game of all time not because it is the best at everything it does but because it is the only game where I suddenly lose 6 hours in the blink of an eye trying to scale mountains for no particular good reason at all while feeling recharged, satisfied and like I'm out of a therapy session by the end of it.

Such a great video, this is exactly why X is my favorite of the Xenoblade franchise. It's the only open world game I felt fully justifies being open world from the story to the gameplay mechanics

And even then, it took me to a 3rd play through off the game on the original Wii U to actually go and finish it, but Mira this world is so special, you always want to see more see its sights see its fauna.

And then you discover all the insane side content that you missed the first time, seriously there are some brilliant side missions in this game.

And then you finally learn overdrive and how that makes you completely overpowered there is just so much and it all feels so good to discover

I'm here before this channel takes off. Your critique is so thoughtful and editing is so tight that it's only a matter of time before the algorithm catches you and shoots you higher.

I found this video searching for Xenoblade Chronicles essays. Your prose and writing style is impeccable. And I love the music choices! brilliant work.

I never had a Wii U so I missed the boat on this one. And as a narrative-focused gamer, I didn't particularly mourn that fact. Yet here I am more thirsty to pick this up than ever. The world building, the sense of magic and awe - those are the things that make Takahashi's games truly special.

I played this as if my OC was a spartan isekai'd to this universe. Ultimately loved this game and played the hell outta of it. I wish they expanded on the ending and gave this game a deserved sequel. The planet of Mira is a cosmic deity and mystery I really hope they expand on it.

This was probably the most hyped I’ve ever been for a game, I’d stare at that thumbnail image with the city and skell and imagine what the game was gonna be like. It was pretty epic on release.

Always great to see people appreciate a game I fell in love with back in 2015. After a few months I finally convinced a friend to try Xenoblade X, and he dropped it after a few hours because he said it played like a mobile game. Stick with this game to the end; I would love to see your final thoughts once you fully complete it.

Great video! You nailed my feelings on X down perfectly. This game is really something special and did something wholly unique while being merciless. I have a health fear and respect for Mira
