Price of your piece can mean a lot. If you go to business classes they show you how to run a sale. I found that a lot of times raising the price I got less argument on the price of the piece. Sales cheapens your product, which you don't want to do. Knowing your market and what you can charge is a big factor too.

I work in acrylics so what I’ve done is instead of lowering the price, I take it offline. Make a good scan of it and gesso over the piece. Reuse the canvas. One painting I recently sold actually has two gessoed bad pieces underneath it.

Fantastic tips! I don’t sell my artwork. The most I do is give away to family so I can keep an eye on my work. I don’t like parting with it. I have sold pieces in the past but it’s extremely rare. I’ll still keep these in mind if I decide to change that one day. :)
