  S tier video dude. Kingdom hearts needs world interactivity & mystique again. More games honesty needs this. The Spider-Man games do more than ever.

  Let’s not forget how magic had interactivity in kh1 boss battles too. Turning off the stove and putting out the trickmaster’s weapons with blizzard, Captain Hook responding to fire and thunder, maleficent being pulled down by gravity, Riku using dark firaga if you hit him with fire, tech points for hitting elemental weaknesses, etc. There’s not really anything like that after kh1 besides water putting out fire cores in kh3.

  Wonderland in kh1 really impressed me because the amount of secrets they crammed into just 4 rooms utilizing every corners and all 4 sides of the bizzare room

  Scala Ad Caelum is the closest we got to the kh1 design, it didn't only use puzzles to complete the story but it also included lore behind it

  My problem with KH3 worlds are the lack of iconic disney locations. One of the best parts of exploring the worlds was being able to walk around the sets of the movies. Ariels grotto, beasts ballroom, pride rock, the jungle treehouse, etc. KH3 had almost none of that. You couldnt walk around Arendale or elsas castle, You couldn't explore the San Fransokyo bridge or the university (you couldnt even see the university on the map??), You couldnt enter rapunzels tower. There were so many iconic locations from these films that would have been fun to explore but they were entirely left out and it made the worlds lose a lot of their charm. Monsters inc did pretty well though

  The closest world we’ve gotten to a KH1 world since KH1 is the Toy Story world in KH3. It’s why it’s my favorite world in KH3, and people don’t talk about this fact nearly enough.

  I feel like the series lost a lot after KH2 tbh 😔  they had so much magic and... ehem.. heart to them. They felt so special and interesting and there was so much thought behind everything. You had to solve puzzles and pop out in different areas, things were hidden in plain sight that you couldn't yet reach, the areas felt really interactive. KH3 just felt... big. Everything just felt far apart instead of something to unlock and earn, and being able to wall climb and traverse everything from the beginning kinda took away the fun of earning it

  Birth by Sleep tried its best, I’d argue. There were the mouse hole areas in Cinderella’s House, the time trials and cauldron springs in the Evil Queen’s Castle, Maleficent’s Easy Invisible Maze With Only One Forking Path, Disney Town Underground, and all those advanced commands tucked away in areas that required High Jump and Air Slide (or you could cheese it early with a bunch of Sliding Dashes). There were the elevators and cells in the Deep Space prison block, and Skull Rock’s upper floor and the waterfall climb in Neverland.<br><br>Also the Ice Cream enemies.

  Even if though soras movement is way more expansive they could play with the absolute limits of his movement abilities to create challenging platforming sections
