He's been called "Heaven's Star" in the lore for a while, at least in Chinese, so it's kinda funny for the fandom to have their mind blown over this one.

“A sun 8 times greater than our own” He’s definitely a big star out there in the galactic sea. A real sun of a beach.

You know what part left me startled ?
When he was teaching Zibai the "ancient" art of Trifactor Excision, she wouldn't sever her three deadly selves and then he said :
"The will of heaven shifts and does not stay, while white clouds drift and turn to hounds of grey."
bro literally KNEW something was going to befall teyvat, he also knew that there will come time when she will be able to use that technique, bro is way too familiar with the heavens and their shenanigans...

 Yay you’re backkk!
Also in regards to his age, I don’t think he lied to us about it. He said “As you know, I have dwelt upon this world for more than six thousand years.” (I screenshot the quote), which people seemed to misconstrue as him being only 6000 years old. But he already himself said he is older, and that timeline is only the amount of time he has been in Teyvat.
His age could be wayyyy more than that, especially if he might have come from another world or even if it’s kid f reference to where he was before he descended/was demoted

Do you think that unlike Columbina, who was rejected by teyvet, that the sun was never rejected. Which is why Zhongli never lost his power? Maybe he chose to become an archon after defending humanity?

All thats left is investigate if there was more than one Morning Star title holder, or another dead-end expectation.

It's not that suprising that they made Chinese like archon much more important than others.
Especially with the constant lantern events

to the interesting fact about Melusine, you can add the name of the achievement "Gold of the Sun, Together with his Blood", which is available in natlan.

Then we’ll all be shocked as heck if the Tsaritsa completes all the chess pieces and then zhongli casually walks in and say, “You have done well, my child.” Lol
