  A few things worth being upfront about.<br><br>English is not my first language. I use narration tools to deliver the best experience I can for an English-speaking audience. If the delivery ever feels slightly off, that is why, and I apologise to anyone it takes out of the story.<br><br>We also use generated visuals alongside real archival material. As a new channel, sourcing accurate period footage for every scene is genuinely difficult and expensive. The generated clips are a temporary solution, not a permanent one. As the channel grows, the production quality will grow with it.<br><br>What will never change is the standard we hold ourselves to on the history. Every story we cover is researched from primary sources and we take accuracy seriously. If we get something wrong, whether it is a date, a name, a technical detail, or a visual, tell us in the comments. We read everything and we correct our mistakes.<br><br>Your support at this stage of the channel means more than we can say. We will not let you down.

  My father flew one of these B-25 gunships in the Pacific during WW2. &nbsp;One time he told me how his unit, him included, managed to saw a Japanese destroyer in half after multiple passes. &nbsp;Nothing like a bunch of Ma Deuces firing 1000 rounds a minute -yes, 1000 after the rate of fire was adjusted by the crew, pissing the armorers off because it burned out barrels. &nbsp;He also did skip bombing of Japanese ships. &nbsp;He also was the pilot who flew the B-25 in the Dayton museum from Arizona where it had been in storage.

  One of my College professors (Roy Russell) flew with Pappy Gunn and helped install the 75MM french field piece. &nbsp;Once North American heard what they did they sent &quot;Tech Reps&quot; to inspect the plane and were shocked at what they saw.

  Didn&apos;t mention that they also flew close air support and prei nvasion missions. &nbsp;They even tried putting a 75mm gun on one.

  This one hits differently when you think about the radio gunners. Sitting in the back of the aircraft during every mast-height run, hearing the 14 guns open up but not being able to see the ship coming, not knowing if the pilot is going to hold the line or break off at the last second.<br>104 missions like that for some of them. The video does a good job showing how much of this was just men deciding to keep getting back in the plane and doing it again, day after day.

  The Australians used Beaufort bombers in New Guinea. &nbsp;They had four 20mm cannons on them, then tried three 40mm anti Aircraft cannons.

  ...we have to note that the rate of the airborne 50s was 1200 rpm, maximum weight of explosives in the shortest time,..., second pass was &nbsp;a suicide one, &nbsp;thank you!

  The extra forward gun arrangement for anti shipping was first used by the Aussies armed Beaufighters with extra forward guns to strafe ships. This proved successful especially because the ships were totally destroyed topside leaving them unable to defend or maneuver against skip bombing after the Beaufighters made their pass.
