The "during PRIDE MONTH" moment sent me
But yeah, they literally spend whole movie locked together AND get a forehead touch and "I'll come back to you"? That's basically canon.

As someone who truely did not know about the ending until last year, I can say that certain movie villians become so famous they eclipse the actual plotline of the movie. So yes I knew Jigsaw was an old white guy.....I just didn't realize it was that PARTICULAR old white guy that we just assumed was a dead body.

The flammable jelly trap was CRAZY. There were so many things happening. The simplicity of having the candle be the time limit as he tries to find a way to open the safe and get a key to leave the room would have been haunting enough. But NO he's ALSO covered in flammable jelly and NAKED and there's BROKEN GLASS and he's POISONED 😂
Imagine if Jigsaw scattered broken glass on the floor in every trap!! Just overkill!!

As a veteran fangirl and a leading expert in shipping, a forehead touch is more than enough textual evidence to prove that they are in love. I’ve shipped characters who had far less screen time together. A forehead touch is generous lol

Danny Glover's character could have seen Zep stabbing Dr Gordon to death, and he would have just gone "Wow, that guy must be really annoyed with Dr Gordon for all those murders he did..."

I'm a lawyer!! Jigsaw is definitely a murderer. How you get there depends on what jurisdiction you're in (what state Cityton is in) but he either placed people in dangerous situations with the knowledge that death was likely to occur, which is murder, or he recklessly disregarded human life, which is murder, or people died while he was in the process of committing a felony (kidnapping), which is also murder.

Definitely a murderer.

I know Graessle should be avoiding spoiler comments, but! Graessle makes a very good point about the movie starting with Adam. As a wide rule of creative writing, the audience is trained to empathize and attach to whoever we see first.

For example, imagine a scene that starts in a house; its lights are off, and it's the middle of the night. We see someone in a ski mask rummaging through a bedroom -- obviously a burglar. Then, through the window, the headlights of a car grows as it pulls into the driveway. What's our reaction? It's, "Oh no! Run! Hide!" Even though we know as an audience don't know the burglar's motivations or what their backstory is, we side with them, because we see them first. You can imagine the same scene starting through the homeowner's perspective; driving home in your car and seeing a silhouette in the window. Feels different.

I actually hadn't realized, looking back, that my own few times watching Saw, I've also had a natural distrust of Lawrence. But that's probably why!

I love the fact that Saw (2004) takes place on September 10th, 2001. You can see it on the phone Lawrence uses! WHY DID THEY DO THAT.
