  I haven't pressed the go live button in over 6 months after streaming nearly every day for several months because someone called me while I was live and sent me my address. I never had more than 20 viewers and averaged about 10. Stay safe out there, folks. People are weird.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3CAEhTiQJM&amp;t=1515">25:15</a> the comparison QT made between this attacker and then Hassan getting banned is so on point, I hadn&apos;t thought about it that way. A guy alone in his room being hyperbolic whilst delivering political commentary is seen as more serious of a case/more dangerous than a man LITERALLY threatening to kill and attacking women in the street in public.

  the fact that it took the man dying for maya to be truly safe from him is so frustrating. so many people failed both maya and that man throughout all of this. maya, because the police could hardly do anything aside from keeping documentation and essentially waiting for her to be harmed. and the man, because it took so long for anyone to intervene and get him help, and by the time they did it was seemingly too late. schizophrenia is a horrible mental illness to live with, and it being left untreated for as long as it probably was and with the severity of delusions he was having, is just horrible. i find it hard to believe that it couldn&apos;t have been intervened earlier on. it shouldn&apos;t have taken so long for it to be seriously addressed.<br>(want to acknowledge that we obviously dont know to what degree his parents were trying to get him help, its very possible that they did all they could, but ultimately the systems set in place for situations like this just aren&apos;t good enough)<br><br>(edit to add: the fact that maya had to put so much of her personal money into security and personal investigators just to try to feel safe, and to STILL not feel fully safe, is awful. the whole point in having police in a country is to help the citizens feel safe, but clearly thats bs unless u fit a very specific demographic)<br><br>i feel so deeply for maya, qt, and every other streamer dealing with these types of situations, i cant even imagine how taxing it is. im hopeful that as the years pass, more laws will be put into place that are designated to keeping people safe from this.

  mayas story is so scary and she is so strong because i can’t even imagine how she processed that death. the worse part is this shit happens to women daily famous or not, ive had a guy stalk me in college, its terrifying to be a woman

  I love how, in Maya’s story, the stop sign has more immediate police protection than she did.

  I think it’s so so important to remember (like Maya and QT also emphasized) that for all they share online, when it comes to stalking, doxing, swatting, etc. we do not know (and will likely never know) the full scale or details of what they’ve dealt with. there are stories that go unshared for a reason. never assume you know all of what they’ve gone through based on what they have shared.

  The sad part was this was only one of Mayas stalkers, sounds like there are several the way she talked about getting different cases mixed up

  Watching Cinna&apos;s dad talk about the situation and seeing the anger that came up while talking about it. Knowing that one of his daughters could have been hurt is so sad and infuriating.
