I would argue that the best or most utilitarian truck is the Voron 3327 crane truck. It has a sideboard and rope crane like the mule except the extra 3rd axle gives it a much better off-road capability and more stability when using the crane or driving in mud. Like a Mule T1+¹

Honorable mention for the Vostok Pioneer dozer, that thing is a beast, not just for road construction. Need to clear debris, it's got you. Need to fix a cable trench crossing a road, put it in asphalt destruction mode, dig down a bit and it will erase a pesky cable trench going across a road. Need to remove unwanted trees and stumps, it's your fastest route to total deforestation haha. Most useless equipment, stump mulcher, the dozers are just as good at stump removal, the only thing the stump mulchers can do that nothing else can is remove fallen trees blocking a road.

Baikal heavy dump truck is actually better for hauling scraps than the Aramatsu. Baikal has a bigger dump, you can for example put three rows of pipes next to each other while Aramatsu can only have two. Tracked vehicles have lots of issues with rocks while Baikals big ass front doesn’t like steep terrain.

One advantage of the Baikal 65-206 is its quarry radius. The non-rusty quarry radius is even larger. I use this feature to daisy-chain sand into areas where the actual quarry doesn't reach and I cannot find sand for the Mobile Scalper. I think it also has the largest capacity.

For the scouts I'd say the Lynx is better for actual scouting. In addition to an extremely tall snorkel it's front tires protrude past the front of the vehicle by quite a bit lending it some amazing climbing ability. It can go up sheer faces without even needing a winch which on the map you unlock it is terrain you'll face often early on.
The Tuz has a lot more grip, and importantly weight, which does make it a superior towing platform and it is faster across most surfaces so long as it is going straight.
I'd say the Armiger Thunder is worse than the minuteman for starter scout, purely due to the fact it is so light. Several tasks will have you driving through a building to find a safe and drag it back but the Armiger lacks the strength to do that and will just spin it's wheels in place.

For cargo trucks I'd say the Greenway 740 is a fantastic honourable mention. It lacks the ability to self load like the mule. However unlike the mule it is exceptionally stable to the point it is near impossible to tip it over no matter what angle of slope you put it on. It's also got the strongest back of everything barring maybe the Ziks, you will run out of physical space to put stuff before you actually overload this truck. Most others will be pulling wheelies or get rooted to the ground if you shove 80 tons of concrete on them. The Greenway doesn't care. Even the bulldozer can be useful for pushing stuff aside. It is however very slow and it's snorkel is a little bit short. It also has logging variant.

For cranes I'd say the Ziks is still better than the EPEC due purely to the support anchors of the EPEC being so insanely wide which can be a real headache on some maps where you don't have enough space for it as it is incredibly unstable without them and will tip even picking up light cargo unlike the ziks. This is very relevant if you want to drive while having something hooked to the crane.
Another honourable mention to the Vostok ETV-89. As a crane it is garbage, with a boom that can only swing 180 degrees and lacks reach. It is however very fast, stable and can pull well making it a good recovery vehicle, somewhat depreciated with the SAR class, but not entirely as sometimes being able to lift one end of whatever you are rescuing is needed to stop it being stuck. Just don't try to lift the entire vehicle.

For the scout pickup, youre using the rusty one, but if you buy the scout pickup, its a different truck, the store bought one is an f350 with a canopy, more power, and i think its lifted higher.....

Oh, and the baikal is amazing, it doesnt leak anymore.... this game has different uses for each truck man... baikal is great for when you need a lot of sand, especially in swampy areas.....

Each type of vehicle has a certain situation that its best in,

I just made paved "highways" throughout every level to facilitate using the highway truck. I really enjoy how much it can carry.

Thank you for the video, lots of useful information. Loved the clip of the Bowhead somersaulting when you dropped sand. 🤣

I believe the best truck with a crane is the Voron 3327, and the log loader isn't useful for loading one log, but many logs in a single move.
