Yea it wasn’t so much about Candi having a grudge or an attitude, every time she trusted someone she got hurt or taken advantage of. She was so traumatized and jaded at that point.

The lady playing "Cora" is named Tamela Mann & she is a renowned Gospel singer ( her most famous song is TAKE ME TO THE KING ).

Upon listening to that song and hearing her voice... you end up having an out of body experience.

P.S. She's also ACTUALLY married to the man with the loud clothes - "Mr. Brown", whose real name is David Mann. 🙂

I'll admit that it bothered me when he told the story and violadavis character basically he shouldn't feel guilty because she had problems before that. Which is bullshit getting gang assaulted at a party the one person your friends with invited you too then left and then having him continue to act like he doesn't know you or like it didn't happen is 100% what sent her down that path and ruined her life. Her life was hard like everyone else's and if her biggest issue was not having friends in school I highly doubt she would have still turned out like that

Antwone Fisher! The male lead from this movie stars in it. Viola Davis and Denzel are in it too and it’s based on a true story. Superb!!!!

A Thin Line Between Love & Hate. Lynn Whitfield’s performance was so convincing as a scorned woman

I think everything Madea does is 10x funnier when i think about how she’s suppose to be old like 60’s flipping over cars and stuff 🤣
