We here in Australia had many pow's from germany italy and japan many decided to stay or came back with their familys after the war and became good citizans.🇦🇺😊

What happened to the missing English and American POWS that went missing at the end of the war? The Germans had captured a lot of these Allied soldiers and kept them in camps in Eastern Germany. The Soviet Army overan these prison camps. The Allies had a lot of difficulty getting the prisoners to be returned to the West. There were a lot that went missing. The German soldiers that returned from the Soviet Union prisoner of war camps reported meeting English and American prisoners in these camps in the late 1940s and early 1950s.

Let's not forget that the Americans, besides turning German prisoners over to the Soviets, also declared its German prisoners "disarmed enemy combatants" in order to circumvent Geneva Conventions protection of prisoners. Millions were kept in primitive camps until 1948. Hundreds of thousands died in those camps.

What about my father survival of concentration camp was screaming at the night and hiding in all kind of dark places at night i don’t have any pity not to soldiers that probably have innocent blood on their hands and not to their families
