Somewhere in Ireland, Mr. OOC awakes in a cold sweat, another nightmare about sitting through a 10 hour wrestling show.

Women's wrestling at this point is such a strange contradiction. With a show like this, you'd think the companies would be doing great financially, but the reason they're having to come together and promote like this is due to business actually being down and getting worse. You'd think the wrestlers would be making a lot of money but not really, and many of the women that'd wrestle in WWF and WCW around this time would actually make more money in the states than Japan, while also working a softer style. Listening to translations of Bull Nakano's podcast, it's honestly really sad to hear how things were behind the scenes, and how broken down some of the women's bodies were even at this point. Such a strange dichotomy once you look into it.

Always blown away watching Joshi, and being like "Right, they invented that...and that...oh, neat a second rope tombstone in 1993...oh, another legendary transition move, invented by a Joshi worker in 1989..."

As always, the best wrestling deepdive videos, keep them coming!

It never fails to astonish me just how many absolutely brilliant workers were active in this era of joshi. Calling it a golden age feels like I'm underselling it.

At least the V*TOP tournament is not postumusly marred by the winner unaliving her family, unlike the 1st Super J Cup.

I find it tough getting through a 3 hour Monday Night RAW, surely there must hae been breaks and intervals during the 10 hours

What amazes me the most is not only the amount of knowledge and research of these videos, but this time is the amount of AJW matches you found in amazing video quality.
