I was the referee for 2 Cold/Julio, Stan/Tully, and Orton/Snuka. Yes, it was as crazy and disorganized backstage as it was in front of the crowd. The stories I have from that night....

That Jake Roberts somehow ended up being the longest surviving member of the main event, and has also managed to remain clean and sober to this day is nothing short of a happy ending.

I do like that, during the Bob Orton chants, Dutch and Rosenbloom were able to put aside their differences to say, "Jesus Christ, Mississippi."

That main event...it's actually insane to think that Jake is the only one of the four still alive after that. He looked closer to death than Yoko did here.
