Always cool when they get someone who actually served on the vessel to lead the tour. Gives you a genuine look inside the life and operation that you can't get any other way.

There's really nothing more magnetic than a man who knows his stuff cold, and just LOVES to tell people all about it. Even if there's a tall tale or two mixed in, that's fine, just as long as he keeps talking!

This is what space travel looks like, but even more extreme. One day we'll be Star Trek, but we have a ways to go before then. This is our immediate future and the next stepping stone.

I loved my tour on the blueback, had no idea until I went last year that we still had diesel boats into the 90s!<br><br>Wild differences (and some shocking similarities) to the Ohio class I got to tour way back in like 2008
