  It bothers me when people say Luke wasn&apos;t as athletic as other LBers in the NFL. Dude had a 10 RAS Score at the combine. He ran a 4.58 40 yard dash, had a 38 inch vert, and did 27 reps on the bench. He was THE most athletic LBer since 1987 when he was drafted. He also happened to be the smartest player on the field, but oh, he was a scrappy gym rat with a real lunch pail mentality...

  The most F*CKED up story about him that pissed me off was he was in a Panters game and he was crying after a tackle.Now,the FOX play by play commenter was kinda making fun of him...But he was suffering from severe concussions and symptoms of concussions is lack of control of emotions and I&apos;ve seen people suffer from that and I was disgusted by the FOX broadcasters comment.

  Luke is and will always be my favorite Panther. Not only was he a great physical linebacker, but his intelligence elevated the entire defense. As fans, we always knew that so long as Keuchly was out there, we had a chance to win and put a stop on defense.

  My pops was the BIGGEST panther fan, and just a GIANT football fan in general. I remember when Luke came into the league and the Panthers got him. My Dad said &quot;That guy is gonna be a beast.&quot;.. Pops had a saying &quot;If I tell you a goldfish is going to fart, you best look for the bubble.&quot; And dammit was he ever right as always! <br><br>Dad passed away the year Luke retired. I miss him a lot and haven&apos;t watched football since, something about feels empty without my dad being there to tell me what was going to happen next. Miss and love you Dad.<br><br>When Bank of America erupted with &quot;Luuuuuke&quot; when he made a play, such a time to be a panther fan. I can still hear it and I associate it with my Dad. Luke won&apos;t ever see this, but he effected my life in a way I can&apos;t describe and I&apos;ll be forever grateful. <br><br>One more for the road -<br><br>Luuuuuuuuuuuuuke!

  I was a freshman at BC in linebacker core when Luke was there. I can speak for his work ethic and character. And as this video states and with no hesitate, Luke is a genius. Football is his science. <br><br>What impressed me most was his physical transformation leading up to the pro combine after his last season at Boston College. His determination and work ethic turned him from a college linebacker who was light and smart and people questioned if he could physically hold up in the Pros into an actual beast.<br> <br>Final comment because its most important, he was such a nice guy. Humble, caring, and a great human. I wish nothing but the best for him.
