  Also, don’t ever tell DOT a shipper or receiver held you up, you are admitting you were on duty and will be screwed. Just say you got loaded and took a break (off duty)

  Only a bureaucrat who works from 9 to 5 with  a one hour lunch break Mon to Fri and goes home every weekend could make up such stupid HOS  rules.

  I watched so many videos with examples but this is the best and clear explanation that answered all my questions. Since I am Canadian so I was not sure about how it works and once I messed up and go stuck just after I entered Canada from USA. Thanks for this great explanation

  As a safety director this has been a big problem. We have some who try to use but wind up in violation. This is the best description I have seen yet. Thanks. &nbsp;Maybe it will help me help our drivers.
