Seen a lot of videos on assembling the Rotech stay kits, and I've been using them myself for years now. One worthwhile tip is to kick the footplate (the outer end of the 40mm pipe) a few degrees off the fenceline to avoid strained fencewires rubbing against it.

I am learning a hell of a lot of good info for when I start re-fencing my acreage property. We bought a place with old failing fences and then had a massive storm blow through and fences got destroyed by fallen trees so I'm now a lot more confident on tackling the job myself. Thanks.

For inline strainer posts with the rotech kit don’t use the cable use a 2.5t ratchet strap, heaps quicker and easier just as strong for temporary

Thanks, Tim, I really love a good fencing video. As you know I am in the middle of my lavish fencing job and it's proceeding well. Cheers

Hey Tim I'd love to see a video on the different size steel round posts and their strengths. I see a lot of people use 100nb posts for everything, which personally I believe is overkill. We are on sandy wallum country and I've been using 50nb posts for running strainers and gate assemblies and 80nb anywhere where I need extra strength or visibility. In the years Ive been fencing, which I will admit is not long, I've never bent a 50nb post with a gate or a stay, so I'm curious if there is still a hangover from the days of timber where a big post is a good thing as it gave you weight and surface area. Steel is much stronger and a well stayed toothpick can hold a fence. Curious on your thoughts.

How does the plate and tension system work? I'm having a hard time understanding how the plate on the ground translates to tension resistance
