When I was on vacation in Morocco, I noticed that there were old Mercedes cars driving around everywhere, and when I sat in one, I told the driver that as a German, I was happy that these old models were still in use and that even an old W123 could manage a million kilometers (620,000 miles). He then showed me the odometer: 2.6 million kilometers. (1.2 million miles).

I bought a 1978 300D like this and fixed it got it running and drove it 127 miles home. Paid 1200 USD for her, ive named her Nola and have taken my time restoring her, she's my baby for sure.

Echt krass zu sehen wie robust diese Autos gebaut worden sind. Bei ca. 43 Jahren und 14 Jahre standzeit mit paar handgriffen wieder zum laufen zu bringen ist echt erstaunlich. Kann mir garnicht vorstellen dass die heutigen Autos in 40 Jahren noch laufen werden

great vid, flexiny, as always. you've done a great job on this old Merc. i love to see, how you get such veterans fixed an running again. i was smilin' at the moment you spend this 240D 2 "new" flashers, the Merc-star on the trunk-lid and the fuses. after the pressure-washing it looks so majestic like a good old pal you can depend on.<br>what i like the most in your vids: concentration on the work, no chatter, no unnecessary clickbait, only  needful information. stay as you are =).

Мурлыканье этого мотора это просто оргазм для ушей , у отца был такой в начале девяностых годов , я помню этот звук с детства 😍 у меня был такой же жёлтый 2.4 дизель в 2018 году , потрясающий автомобиль

These are the kind of videos that I enjoy watching. I've always known that the W123 is an indistructible car. No matter how much rust and dirt they have. They will always start working. I got a 1984 200 gasoline engine it's a W123 as well and I consider it the best car ever made.

I've had W123, W124 and W202 and I can tell they are pretty much indestructible.<br>They were built to last. Awesome cars.
