  What happened to having all your silly handmade ornaments on your Christmas tree every year? My mom still puts up my kindergarten ornaments on the tree. I'm 33 years old

  I EXTREMELY HATE the beige/tin/white trend so much. I saw a video of a literal 4 yr old, screaming at her mother that she wants colors in her room, not her mom's "aesthetic" colors.

  the usa has lost snap benefits and millions of americans are struggling, unsure of how they're going to feed their families, and then there's people like this who do unnecessary hauls for things they don't need. it's just so dystopian.

  my family has  had the same fake tree since i was like 3. the same christmas lights and passed down ornaments my entire life. each kid has a box of their ornaments. we each get 1 new one per year. we've had the same glass nativity set since before i was born. nothing matches. i could not love it more.

  My autistic ass is so attached to things sentimentally, i cannot IMAGINE getting new decor every year. I was IN LOVE with this little snowman we had with a blue hat, and this one heart ornament my mom made as a kid.  That would have WRECKED me as a kid man

  My hack for consumption is: don&apos;t ever buy something that you haven&apos;t planned to get for at least a month. I&apos;ve wanted new shoes for two months now. Got them today. I&apos;ve wanted a turtleneck sweater for a whole month now. I&apos;ll get it whenever I see a good one, I&apos;ve wanted new thigh highs for two weeks now.<br><br>If I forget about these things, it probably means I didn&apos;t want them all that much to begin with. Be responsible with your shopping guys, and have a life outside of pure &quot;things&quot;
