Notice how your method was essentially a corollary of the King's rule that states that the integral of f(x) from a to b is 1/2 * integral of (f(x) + f(a + b -x)) over the same interval. Never stop learning. ❤

In my home country Cyprus, we use many of these properties of definite integrals in our Pancyprian Exams curriculum (without naming them though) and they are remarkable if you have them in mind. It is part of the exam exercise first to prove the given property, usually with u-sub, and then use it to solve a very difficult integral, like the one in <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHY0bnMdevY&t=410">6:50</a>. Very useful
