The question about who got started in horror was a bit of a joke/foreshadowing as Kevin Bacon did as well.

"What set is this?" That was the courtyard from Back to the Future and Gremlins as featured on the Universal Studios tram tour.

This is one of the few current movies that really gets the 80s. Most of modern adaptations are a romanticized idea of what the 80s were. This actually feel how they really were.

my favorite bit was Bacon being killed. At <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gz-R-9bnf-8&t=1840">30:40</a> or so, Maxxxine is told to find whatever is stopping her and "squash it'" <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gz-R-9bnf-8&t=1960">32:40</a> Bacon gets......squashed.

There's a show called Bates Motel. It was pretty decent considering what it was about.

Rosemary's Baby or The Changeling (Peter Medak - 1980) are a must.
