In Dino Crisis 1, you have a crisis with dinosaurs. In Dino Crisis 2, the dinosaurs have a crisis with you.

This is literally the “Aliens” to Dino Crisis 1.

- first game is a survival horror, similar to Alien being a horror film.
- second game is a horror action game similar to Aliens being a horror action movie.
- there is a crack team of special ops there to save any survivors of the dinos (aliens).
- the badass girl from the first game is back as an expert.
- the method of escape is prevented.
- there is a younger girl who refuses to talk who has managed to survive (Newt?!)

The fact that I actually finished this game when I was a kid, without being able to read a word of english makes me proud

Dino Crisis 2 Dev: "Hey you know what would be neat?"
Everyone Else: "What?"
Dino Crisis 2 Dev: "If the game that has tank controls, has an actual tank you can use."

Galaxy brain moment. May the devs of DC2 forever be remembered for this.

After finishing the game, not only you can unlock the Dino Colosseum but also Dino Duel, a 2 players arena Fighting game where both players can control dinosaurs... i love this game.

As a Midwesterner, the intro narration of the game saying "somewhere in the Midwest" and "they have failed to take the necessary precautions" narrowed it down to Madison or St Cloud.

That ending still hurts my heart; there's no closure.

I remember replaying the game over and over trying to find a secret ending. Trying to save David. Defeating it without getting hurt. At a certain time. Even the arena game! OMG. It was when the internet was limited and finding secrets were by word of mouth and magazines 😅
