  Skyler is one of the most divided characters in Breaking Bad.<br>Some viewers see her as controlling. Others see someone trying to survive a situation that kept getting more dangerous.<br>After watching the full story, do you see her more as a survivor, complicit, or something in between — and what moment in the series shaped your view the most?

  Shes such a painfully tragic character. Her and the actual actress didnt deserve the hate from the fans one bit. So uncalled for. Have you heard about that?

  I don’t understand all the hatred this character is getting from fans… I really feel for her. If my husband behaved as suspiciously as Walt, I’d be devastated too. Her husband was pretending to be at work, and then she found out he hadn’t been going to work for weeks…! He would come home late almost every night. Wouldn’t that make anyone suspicious? <br>I felt so sorry for her. Many viewers blame her for cheating on Walt. I’m not defending her on that — cheating, for whatever reason, is extremely wrong. But the show does show us why she did it. I think it wasn’t only a way to show Walt that there are things he can’t control, but also a way for her to escape this nightmare. <br>By that point, even her own son hated her and sided with Walt. Marie and Hank also supported Walt and couldn’t understand Skyler’s “strange” behavior. I really felt for her. She wasn’t to blame, but she couldn’t tell anyone the real reason why she wanted to keep the children away from Walt. For Flynn, Marie, and Hank, her reasoning seemed far‑fetched or even selfish, while the true egoist had always been Walt. <br>I was sad to see her sinking morally and cheating on Walt, but it was her way of not going crazy. I remember the scene where she was enjoying the heated floor in Ted’s bathroom — the warmth and affection were exactly what she needed to feel human again. She even mentioned in one episode that she hadn’t felt happy in years. <br>Anna Gunn portrayed this character perfectly. I felt every emotion and every struggle she went through.

  Yet everyone bashes her and hates her there is a great video about how breaking bad is about toxic masculinity as well as one by Jack Saint I think it is great you are looking into why SHE is hurting and how she is effected because of Walts actions.

  Skyler can be a snob &amp; a nag, but she&apos;s a person with many admirable qualities. From the very start, we see that she TRULY LOVES HER HUSBAND &amp; FAMILY &amp; IS WILLING TO FIGHT FOR THEM. Walt puts her in an impossible position, betrays her trust, manipulates her for years and, on top of that, doesn&apos;t let her leave! She&apos;s helpless, frozen in a terrible place. The only way she could&apos;ve broken free was telling all to EVERYONE, which would traumatise &amp; embarrass her son &amp; even daughter FOR LIFE. She would&apos;ve needed to turn the man she used to love to the cops, which isn&apos;t easy either. Alongside Jesse,she&apos;s possibly Walt&apos;s greatest victim😢

  I wonder if Walt had taken Saul Goodman&apos;s advice and told Skyler the truth up front what her reaction would have been? There is something inside of me that says that if he hadn&apos;t lied to her for so long she might have become complicit. She might have even understood his position even though we know his position was a lie, but if he had at least told her what he was doing then I think it would have had a different impact on her.

  I’ve always felt that Skyler was in an unbearable situation that she couldn’t escape. Anna Gunn portrayed her so well, and yet some &nbsp;fans of Walter’s criticized her, which drove me nuts. She was just trying to survive and protect her family from the man who was supposed to protect them. Walt would twist everything to suit his narrative and gaslit her constantly. I can’t help but feel empathy for her and also, deep respect for her strength.

  She had a chance to walk away in seaaon 3 when Walt signed the divorce papers. Against the advice of her lawyer she chose to stay. She wasn&apos;t trapped ahe made a decision and thus was complicit.
