Newhaven Fort with a Baby & Dog! 🐶👶 | Rainy Day Family Day Out in Sussex

Looking for a family-friendly day out in Sussex when it's raining? ☔️👶🐶 Come with us to Newhaven Fort! We headed to Newhaven Fort in East Sussex with our baby Reina and our dog Beni for a rainy-day family adventure — and honestly, it turned out to be a brilliant day out! Despite the wet weather, Newhaven Fort was incredibly pram friendly, with so much to see and explore. It's a really visual and interactive attraction, with fascinating history from World War One and World War Two, exhibitions, tunnels and lots of things to discover as you make your way around the fort. One of the things we particularly loved was the incredible views over Newhaven and the Sussex coastline. 🌊 🐶 Is Newhaven Fort dog friendly?Yes! Beni came along with us and we loved being able to enjoy the attraction together as a family. 👶 Is Newhaven Fort pram friendly? We found it very pram friendly, which made exploring with Reina much easier. 🎟️ The ticket is valid for a whole year, so you can return again and again without having to buy another ticket each time — something we thought was a great bonus for families. 🚗 Free parking was another big plus for us. There is also Cadence Café onsite, where I stopped for a drink during our visit. ☕️ For children, there's also a huge outdoor activity and play area, which looks like it would be fantastic on a warmer, drier day. 🛝 After exploring Newhaven Fort, we headed to Beach Road Cafe for lunch. We had such a lovely experience there — friendly service, good homemade food and it was run by local ladies, which gave it a really welcoming feel. ❤️ So if you're looking for things to do in Sussex with a baby, dog-friendly days out in East Sussex, rainy day activities with children, family days out near Newhaven or pram-friendly attractions, hopefully this vlog gives you some inspiration! 📍 NEWHAVEN FORT, EAST SUSSEX 👶 Baby-friendly🐶 Dog-friendly☔️ Great option for a rainy day🚗 Free parking🏰 WW1 & WW2 history🎟️ Annual admission🛝 Large outdoor children's activity area☕️ Cadence Café onsite🍽️ Beach Road Cafe for lunch nearby ❤️ ABOUT RAISING REINA Welcome to Raising Reina! 👶❤️ I'm a mum sharing our real-life family adventures, days out and experiences with our little girl Reina and our dog Beni.
