  The removal of Encounter feels a bit odd, considering that Onslaught is fought exclusively on Encounter maps.

  Once encounter and assault are gone, the lack of new maps will really show. Won't be long before people start whining about it

  Assault and Encounter are some of my favorite modes in the game. They have given some of my best battles. RIP.

  "variety" they say, while they remove essentially 12 maps off the map pool + grandbattles maps...

  I know its not the theme of the video but i just saw that they remove many fun guns from the Tanks...the T-34 short reload gun, StuG III G lost his 10,5cm gun, the Medium T6 losing his huge gun, Su-85 lost his 122mm gun...WoT really just wants you to "play through" those stages and go farm for the big tanks (and high prices of the premium ones) BUT damn why cant we just choose how to play? Those guns were easy to obtain, you can go through any (well maybe besides Artys) Tanktree up to Tier 6 in one session. This argument about "faster getting through" is not fair! Those tanks are for fun, i loved those guns 😢

  Removing the modes isn't a "computational cost" issue as much as it might be about maintaining a large population pool for the MM algorithm instead of a fragmented set of overlapping pools.  The MM changes were adding criteria - pairing assault TD's rather than assault/glass canons.  With half the player base not playing a mode the queue population might not have the pair to address this constraint.

  My favorite encounter was on Pearl River when 13 tanks on my team play it like a random battle and go mid and east and the enemy team has 8 tanks around the cap circle and we lose by cap in 3 minutes...

  1.0 Removed maps, 2.0 Removed gamemodes. These are things I still miss!

  Very very sad to see these two game modes go. I agree with you 100%, literally just flipping a map on it's axis makes for a new experience. I will miss encounter Prokhorovka dearly.
