The term computer was originally a job description, a fact that always amazes me. It dates back to 1757 at least, when a team of computers was assembled to calculate the orbit of Halley’s Comet. It only disappeared when modern electronic computing machines took over.

I love the proposal scene in Hidden Figures.
My parents were married for forty years. Unfortunately, my father passed away a year and a half ago after going through cancer.
I was sad because he’s my dad. I love him, and I miss him. But seeing my mom miss him was so hard because they were so happily married for forty years. They were similar, but of course they’re different people; they respected each other’s differences.
Seeing people together for so long always warms my heart. ❤
