Man, I've been a microtonal afficionado for some years now and let me tell you, the way you present your videos in a more "mainstream" form is so incredible, everything so friendly to anyone with basic musical education and so entertaining to see the whole process. You're really putting in the work to make all this accesible, I admire you so much.

I legit shed a tear at the end, this is one of the most beautiful incorporation of 31 EDO / microtonality

2:18 Minor third in the melody over a major third in the harmony is also a pretty common blues thing.

Beautiful video; you're convincing me little by little that it isn't impossible to understand or learn to enjoy microtonal harmonies progressively. 🙏🏾 Great work.

As a teacher myself, I am crazy impressed at how much information you just poured into my brain while time disappeared because it was so damned interesting. So much so that I'm hooked now having previously thought I understood it (and initially thought, "Oh that E maj/min is just gonna play like a #9 thing." Nope. Not a bit.) So thank you for inspiring me to want to really learn this. But why I'm commenting is because of how absolutely undone I felt when you played it fully assembled at the end. As soon as it started I began to weep like I can't remember ever doing before. Just something deep and with such woe that I had no control over it and had no idea what it was about. It took about 10 minutes after the music ended for me to pull myself together and dry my eyes enough to type this. It vaguely reminds me how some world music feels when it stirs me. But suddenly I recognize that whenever I play around with a gamelon, I burn out quickly assuming it's due to my lack of familiarity with the tuning, or that it's not really an instrument for "serious music" because its tuning is so imprecise. But after that experience listening to what you made, I suspect such tonal frameworks potentially hold more depth or "seriousness" than I was ever prepared to let in before. As Ms. King put it "I Feel the Earth Move" when all this time I thought I already had. Thank you infinitely much for the universe expansion.

Man I study composition and I am absolutely obsessed with your work!!!! I always admired your technicality, but the last part of the video really tied it all together. So grateful to watch your content.
