That helmet is honestly so impressive. It feels so rare that people are able to emulate the GW style, with 3D printed bits

Great job on the painting Dave but that helmet is badass and you need to give yourself a big pat on the back for it.

Emulating Lukas is a great idea! That guy can paint. And the updated look for an ancient model is really well done. I honestly didn’t think it was going to look good — the old helmet was silly looking — but the modern version is quite good.

That cloak is looking great! Love the turquoise colour of it against the rest of the model. Helmet turned out awesome too, great callback to the original model.

An incredible conversion, technically simple, yet tremendously effective. Just with a couple swaps you can really shift the mood of the sculpt, and then your superb paintjob did the rest. Really enjoying this series, I never really got into collection Chaos and Alpha Legion was always my favurite, so I'm living vicariously through this journey with you. Keep it up, man!

Next time, please give us some shots of the entire army as it is growing!

That helmet is fantastic. Most custom printed bits I see are over-detailed and look out of place at 28mm scale, but you got the level of detail perfect and it fits great with the GW visual language 👌

Intentional painting is so great! I mean, you can paint tons of mini in the same color scheme and it still feels fresh every time ! You can do it on base elements, some special gears or equipment and "justify" the different look. Also, having test mini is a great solution, like free minis from GW stores.
