  If you don't like the theme of the story, I suggest either skipping this one and coming back to the next one or listening to the end, because those who have listened to more than one story know that plot twists are a real strength of my stories, and everything is explained quite well. I try never to stray too far from the norms established in the canon, and this is no exception.

  Tyranid-Raised Human? with the orks i can get it, tau? yeah checks out, eldar can work, but tyranids? that race that only consumes biomass?

  People who are raging really do need to listen to the end. I’m not going to ruin the plot twist but it definitely quells the rage. It’s not a bad story.

  I could smell a plot twist from the title, and I was right. This one has classic sci-fi lineage of a kind that I love. Well done.

  If you&apos;re not doing navigators, consider &quot;raised by the Tau&quot; wih an utopia childhood followed by sheer terror when a small crashed military ship is offered peace and a ride home but decided for &quot;&quot;only war&quot;, (self inflicted edition) as the wipe half the Tau and capture the main character.<br>P.S.: and perhaps a navigator afterall!

  How about a &quot;Life as an Imperial Governor&quot;? I know there&apos;s one that was somewhat similar, but I believe it was more-so that the individual was a noble. A story about an Imperial Governor could focus on them being implanted into the role by the Imperium, having to weight out the cost of wanting to be a good shepard vs dealing with the Imperial tithe quotas, and managing a planet that deals with common threats (e.g. Chaos, Orcs, etc).
