  It feels weird considering a Jamiroquai bassline "surprisingly" good, I always thought their bass was considered some of the best in the biz.

  Toby Smith, original Jamiroquai Keys wizard, - who was in the band for the first 5 albums - played the synth bass líne on &quot;Canned Heat&quot; on a Moog (he was famous for using Moogs in studio and live: Moog Source mostly live during the first years)<br><br>The bass líne was originally written by founding member, the one and only, funky bass &nbsp;pIayer Stuart Zender (who was in the band for the first 3 albums co-writting many of the songd and was already recording the 4th almost completely)... but It was said after &nbsp;Stuart Zender left the band during the recording of that 4th álbum which was called &quot;Symphonized&quot; later changed to &quot;Synkronized&quot;, they decided to redo the tracks to avoid legal issues... So, Toby played the Synth in place of the electric bass.<br><br>The original bass line was very similar and the original version was rreally special as told by the very same Stuart... And it must be true: Jamiroquai was on FIRE &nbsp;in that era with that line up.<br><br>That incomplete album Is the most asked rare recording by the fans ;)

  Guys- the Dua lipa song was played on a keyboard. It&apos;s not slap bass. &nbsp;There is an online interview in which Stephen &quot;Koz&quot; describes which virtual bass app he&apos;s using to get the bass tone.

  Crazy that such a goofy (and terrific) movie like Napoleon Dynamite could introduce me to a banger like Canned Heat and in my opinion influence my musical tastes since I was a little kid
