  My personal headcanon as to why almost all fossil Pokemon have been Rock type is because Rock types have harder, sturdier body parts, making them more likely to fossilize

  Some areas that are isolated from the rest of the world can preserve fossil pokemon from going extinct.

  I still find it weird that Gallar doesn&apos;t let us put the 2 fossils that clearly look the same together.<br><br>Like &quot;oh these are both from some sort of fish, there&apos;s no way it&apos;s the same fish though!...&quot;

  We should get regional forms of the old fossils restored without rock type by a better scientist. You can call them regional variants because only he does it and wont reveal his method

  It&apos;s a reference to the fact that horseshoe crabs still exist but are ancient and it was quite awhile before we found them. Kinda like the coelacanth.

  I hope one day Pokemon add the missing parts to the Galar fossils. Both for more hybrid mons and the full versions

  According to me even dragapults are offshoots of once extinct mons that rebirthed as ghost and dragons.

  I always figured the fossil pokemon were part rock type because it&apos;s remnants of them actually being fossils. So, their second type is actually one of their original typings.

  If I was in the Pokemon world, I would be a professor who focuses mainly on fossils because of the fact that the reviving process is so intriguing to me, how much I would give to have a game where you play a professor and learn more lore
