  Watching this in the light of David's passing last week, and not seen this particular interview before. Forgot what an aggressive interviewer Isaacs was, firing daft questions! David as articulate, engaging and wise as ever, though.❤️‍🩹

  This is one of the rare interviews, where I see David Hockney frown, put him arms around himself in a protective manner, and is more cautious in his responses. He doesn’t laugh like he often does in other interviews given when he was younger  or older. The interviewer is very pointed, interrupts him, and ask such basic questions as if he didn’t know much about David, so it doesn’t encourage depth and rapport with David. However, David being David, is still able to share the richness and experiences of his life and outlook so well. 😊
