Hi David. I live in northern MN. I wait until after fall honey harvest to feed bees (you don't want any sugar water in your extracted honey). Yes, bees suck down everything I feed them very quickly. Yes it stimulates egg laying. We've learned however, that 1:1 syrup is too runny for fall. The bees don't have enough time to dehydrate it before cold weather, & it leads to excess moisture in the hive. That's why we use 2:1 syrup in fall.

I started feeding my bees what you share in this video. They love it! My hive is going through a 1/2 gallon every 24 hours like clock work. Thank you so much!

Hello David, Great work!! I am from India. Like bees and bee keeping.. In my teen I used to keep bees and we're getting good honey..Then I was in Kerala, South India. Now I'm in North India and busy with my Christian ministries and works...Still have a heart for beekeeping...Your videos are adorable..

Hi David, Just the other day my mother-in-law gave me a half-gallon jar that is short and square and has a narrow mouth and is made in Canada. It fits great! This will go on my hive tomorrow. You keep my bees happy, they might even like to watch you.🤣😂

I got back into bees on my farm for my young granddaughter hoping she will get into it and turn it into something someday she's having a blast I have been learning all over again in Northern Ohio

Ball makes a wide or narrow mouth quart and a half jar. They are in the canning section at feed stores and Walmart. They come 6 to a box for about $18.
