Spot on in relation to influencing the future now in a complex system, said the same in my approach in a project I did as a Policy Fellow about regional innovation and industrial strategy which I'm pursuing with new ideas. My analogy was about sending signals out like a radar and measuring constantly which echos ideas in your work around parrallel experiments and human sensors. Sorry short comment but a complicated subject of great importance.

A lot of wonderful impulses! Well, i do not agree about not trying to reach out for an ideal future state. We may fail, but without it, there is no direction. Even not in the moment. In normal life: If I have no idea about a good or better future, why to eat, to go for working, marrying or having children. Creativity, joy, inspiration and spirit enters the system with the power of vision. Origio and telos. It is not all, but here the aspects, which are not part of the system, but are transcendental to the system, begin to show power within in the system.
