The editing style is a little different for this one, we had a hard time getting this reaction up due to copyright - we found changing up the reaction layout did the trick 💙

Someone elsewhere said it, but Superman isn't a cop. He's a firefighter. He doesn't determinie who is right or wrong, who's innocent, or who "deserves" punishment. He saves lives, regardless of any other circumstance. Period.

superman is actually often silly and playful, we just had 10 years of grim ubermensch movies where no one was allowed to smile.

I love that Lex calls Superman an Alien and inhuman when he's the one doing the most inhumane things

For what it's worth, James Gunn is on record that Eve has perfectly normal toes, and that "Jimmy has issues."

The Kents weren't a heavy handed narrative tool, they were parents. And damned good ones. I tear up every time.

22:35 This is exactly right, he's basically always juggling three personas. There's his Superman persona, of course, and the 'public Clark' persona he uses in his everyday life at work and such, but then there's also 'private Clark', the person he is with Lois and his parents; his true identity. What I really like is how there's a clear difference between the three, yet even though the Superman and 'public Clark' personas are affectations, there's still a lot of who Clark really is to both of them.

 “I believe in you Superman”

-Malik

That was the best line in the film. One of the greatest and saddest comic book movie quotes

Malik was murdered by Lex Luthor, simply because he did the right thing, by helping Superman up after he was knocked down. Even when he had a gun pointed at his head he never said a bad thing about him.

In the end he was a brave man who died believing in Superman

One thing I like about this Superman is that the symbol on his costume actually looks like it might be an alien symbol, rather than just the letter "S". It's a diagonal bar through a diamond shape that just happens to look like an "S", which I think is a neat detail.
