Guys hair is pretty much comic accurate! His bowl cut is infamous for its ridiculousness! His enormous ego blinds him to how others see it as a point of hilarity.

These versions of Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and Mr. Terrific debuted in 1968, 1997, & 1999, respectively. In fact, the original versions of all 3 debuted in the 1940s. Very much 'Real' characters.

I love that the interview with Lois actually annoyed him, there's a sincerity and genuineness in a non-media trained Superman that just can't fathom why he has to defend himself saving lives

Coby when you used the word 'Bizarro' to describe Ultraman you probably didn't even realize how much Superman lore has infiltrated the lexicon. Bizarro is a well-meaning Superman doppelganger from another planet who quickly degrades into a 'special' person who ends up causing a lot of harm by accident. Alluded to in a Seinfeld episode.

I'm glad James Gunn didn't make another origin story of Superman we already know what happened.

It's less fun when reactors force themselves to watch things they don't really like, so I appreciate you picking and choosing things you think you're more likely to enjoy rather than just watching the full run of every franchise.

Some incarnations of Lex doesn't know Clark Kent is Superman because of his ego, he just refuses to believe someone with Superman's powers is willing to have a day job as a regular reporter

You get to see something new instead of Lois discovering Clark is Superman. You get to see her discovering who Clark actually is and where he came from. She’d never met his parents…and you can see her reaction to their love for him and even him being an earnest fan of the Mighty Crabjoys. Her doubts about the relationship don’t go away because of what he does as Superman…they go away because she sees what a genuine person Clark is. The I love you too comes from what she sees in Smallville not what he does in Metropolis. It’s a nice change

One of the fun little bits they took from the comics was the fact that, despite being absolutely ordinary and even a geek, Jimmy Olsen somehow manages to attract some of the most beautiful women in comics, including supervillains, and many of them become absolutely obsessed with him.

There's no casualties in Metropolis because they evacuated. Also, as someone who loves Man of Steel, this is my favorite Superman film. I loved the dark DCEU, but I also love the lighthearted DCU. It's something the world needs right now is a pure good guy Superman.
