I will NEVER understand that soldier not reporting what he saw. Amy or not, a woman in a desperate situation was begging for help, and he did nothing, just to protect his career. Absolutely disgusting.

Thank you for mentioning how Amy's family was scammed by that dirtbag. So many other true crime channels glossed over this fact.

Glad you didn’t sweep under the rug how Amy’s family got scammed by that lowlife. Most other true crime channels seem to ignore it, but it deserves to be heard.

For anyone wondering what the purpose of declaring someone legally dead is: it's not necessarily because the family has given up, but it's because for purposes of opening succession and distributing whatever property she may have had in her name. The period to declare someone legally dead can be as early as 5 years after diligent search. The fact they waited a whole 12 years just shows how persistent Amy's family was.

In 1998 I went on a Carribean cruise with my mother, I was 21 years old. When the ship stopped in the Bahamas we disembarked and were walking on a pathway where the local people sold souvenirs, t-shirts, keychains, hats etc. while stopped at one table the lady who was selling some goods put her hand on my arm and asked me to move closer to her, I did and I'll never forget what she said "Never go anywhere alone, a young girl like you can be sold for lot of money". I lived a pretty sheltered life in a suburb with practically zero violent crime, and I was pretty naive at the time, I didn't know anything about human trafficking or how many people have been abducted and sold. Amy Bradley's story always brings me back to that moment and I feel sick everytime I hear about her disappearance. I think about her and her family and can't imagine the hell they went through and still go through.

a pregnant woman going missing coupled with such an oddly posed, almost mocking statue genuinelly makes me feel some kind of disgusted repulsion i didn't know I could feel.

The staff on the cruise ship letting passengers go before notifying and searching for Amy onboard, the soldier not reporting seeing her because he chose his career over a her being in danger, is so heartbreaking. She had chances to be saved but they failed her.

The null guy is terrifying. Some of his victims were addicts or people down on their luck who he persuaded to have surgery in exchange for money - then never paid them. I think that was what happened to the whistleblower, if I recall. He was left absolutely mutilated and had only consented out of desperation.

37:52 5 years for defrauding a family going through what they were is fucking criminal.

Think of how many people would still be alive if witnesses came forward and stated what they've seen. But everyone has this whole mindset of "I don't wanna get involved. It's not my business." Amy probably would've been located had that soldier opened his mouth and gotten involved.

Amy's case makes me so mad. The way the ship staff handled the situation, her photos being stolen, her feeling uncomfortable around certain crew members from the start, lots potential witnesses and tips, all combined with this cruise line having multiple cases of SA in the past... It just feels so clear to me what happened here. There is a saying: "Traffickers don't discriminate" and I have to agree with it. Regardless however, I deeply hope that one day Amy will return to her family and find some semblance of peace.
