I was 11 years old in 2000. My mother battled lung cancer for about 6-8 months and eventually passed from it in June of that year. Ff9 came out that holiday season and it was the first Christmas without my mom. I begged and begged my dad for this game that year and that it was the only present I wanted. Christmas Eve came and my dad called me downstairs into the living room and sat me down on the couch and said "I'm sorry son but this year was really hard balancing work and doing all the shopping for you kids. I wasn't able to find ff9 anywhere. It was sold out at all the stores and I really want you to know I tried my hardest and I didnt want to disappoint you. I know it was the only thing you were asking for." I nodded and said I understood. I was so sad but at the same time I knew that at Christmas gifts weren’t what was really important especially after losing my mother months before. Christmas morning came and we finished opening presents. I remember feeling so guilty about being so upset about not getting ff9. After all the presents were opened and we cleaned up I sat there staring off at the television that had the goof troop Christmas movie playing. Then my dad came back into the room with his coffee and sat down next to me, tilted his head and squinted his eyes and said "hey I see one more present back there and... it looks like... it's for you." He grabbed this long square present from behind the tree and gave it to me. I thought it was a skateboard or something. I opened it and it was ff9 in a bundle with the strategy guide. I was the happiest I had been in a loooooong time. It was so strange because that wasn’t something I’d ever imagine my father doing and has never done before that or since. I put that first disc in my ps1 at 9am and didn't stop playing until around 130 in the morning to eat a bowl of rice crispies and a strawberry yogurt. I was so young. I was so hurt that year. This game brought me happiness. I could go on and on about why it's so special to me but to put it in the simplest way. It made me happy. These stories have a way of captivating us and giving us each something different. For me it was happiness, peace, and help mend one of my greatest wounds. So happy to see you play this, I hope it brings something special to you as well

Nobuo Uematsu outdid himself with the soundtrack to this game. This game is just legendary and was the worthiest conclusion to the original PSX era.

The mere fact that you spent 40+ minutes reading and appreciating the manual/game case instantly sold me. I smashed that subscribe button immediately.

First time viewer, I really appreciate the respect you are giving this game. Checking art on each disc, the manual, analyzing the back of the box. You’re taking this seriously and doing everything you can to appreciate this work of art. Respect.

I love how you communicate with your audience , the way you tell your emotions and how you feel about a game, you know how to give a good speech because you are so spontaneous, the words really come from your heart, that’s how I perceive everytime you start a new game. 😊

Omg! Finally 😄 I absolutely love FF9. It might just be my favourite of the FF franchise. close second being FF10. The story, the characters, the music, and the world. A masterpiece from beginning to end 🙏<br>And Zidane is best pirate monkeyboi, and Vivi must be cherished and protected at all costs 💜
