  I ended up at the world premiere of “Come from Away” completely accidentally; my colleague got sick and she gave me her ticket. <br><br>I was not sure if I was ready to see a musical about 9/11, but the moment the show started, I was entranced with the story. It did not matter that the theater was small and that no one knew about the show at the time, it was very clear that this musical has something very special about it.<br><br>When I listened to this interview, it brought back the memories of being grateful for the humanity of regular people who chose kindness and human decency under the most unfortunate circumstances. Thank you, Captan Bass for the most excellent interview.

  Do not forget about the many people who were not killed but injured. &nbsp;Some died of those injuries months and years later.

  What an incredible lady/ captain/wife/mother! So refined and intelligent and calm. I imagine that flying on her team, the crew had a wonderful job. Kudos to this beautiful accomplished woman. 🙏🙌✈️

  Another reason things took so long for the planes to be &apos;deplaned&apos; was that EVERY ONE of those planes and passengers and their carry-ons had to be CHECKED before being allowed on the buses ... there was a shortage of police and security because most of the time Gander only has a VERY few planes arriving and taking off on any one day, and figuring out how to &apos;vet&apos; folk and make sure that when it came time to reboard the planes you could REACH those people and get them back to Gander. Canada didn&apos;t know if any of THOSE people were part of the group that had hit the World Trade Centers etc.

  I hated when the flight deck doors had to be locked. I loved being able to see what&apos;s going on in there. As a PAX it really felt like the Capt and FO cared about us!

  I learned about Captain Beverley from Come From Away. Watching this conversation, she comes off as a very interesting and intuitive person. I certainly would feel like I would be in good hands if I was on one of her flights 🙂
