It was great to hear from this woman. I was once told by a publishing record company, "You sound like a cross between Sandi Patty and Susan Ashton. Well, the Christian Music Industry already has those two. There's no room for you." This basically happened to Stella because of her sister. But like her sister, she knew the value of hard work and not giving up. Kudos.

Big fan of Miss Stella! She's able to stand out on her own despite the huge shadow of her legendary sister. Not an easy task. Talent, persistence, and resilience defines the Parton and Owens family.

I really appreciate her honesty and transparency about family dynamics, her career, and everything in between. She also shares some genuinely thoughtful advice that really resonates as a creative. I could easily listen to her speak for much longer. Thank you for sharing this interview.

It's fascinating to me how when someone is getting their flowers for being an AMAZING human being how some people are so bitter and jealous that they have to try to tear them down. Dolly was such a positive and Christian example for us all. Personally I am enjoying hearing about the rest of her kin!

I was lucky enough to meet Stella in the late 70s when my 12 year old nephew and his band opened her show in Gainesville Ga. She was so friendly! She invited my nephew and band to travel to Alabama and open the show for her the next day. I'll always be a fan of Stella!
