  I feel that I owe my life to 2 plastic surgeons in Edmonton, Alberta. I had what was referred to as a total facial smash from a terrible tire-tubing incident, where I ran into another person on the hill. I was lying on my stomach on the tube. You have absolutely no control; you can&apos;t even roll off. &nbsp;I broke a bone at the back of my neck from snapping my head back, my eye socket, nose, cheek, jawbone, forehead, and many teeth were smashed- not just clean breaks. I looked absolutely horrible. It took 3 surgeries over a year to put my face back to nearly what it had looked like before. It involved bone grafting from my hip- painful beyond belief. <br>The end result was looking normal again, but more than that I got my confidence back - finished my Master&apos;s degree and as a single parent, with 2 young girls managed to give us all a life. Without those doctors, I have no doubt that jobs I have had would not have been possible. My social life would have not been the same. I think of them all the time - with gratitude and love. I ran into one about 20 years after and when I identified myself, he remembered the surgeries and actually rubbed his hand together in satisfaction!

  I’m really curious to see how GLP-1 drugs are viewed 10 years from now. What concerns me is how definitively Dr. Dubrow speaks about them, as if there’s no nuance or variation in how different bodies respond.<br><br>And honestly, promoting lifelong microdosing rather than emphasizing nutrition, exercise, and sustainable lifestyle changes feels wild to me. We’re talking about lifelong pharmaceutical dependence and spending.<br><br>Comparing Ozempic to AI as this overwhelmingly positive innovation also ignores the potential risks and unintended consequences. I’m eager to see the other side of this conversation.<br><br><br>Edit because I think my point is getting lost: <br><br>I’m not against GLP 1s for people who medically need them, just as I wouldn’t argue against testosterone when someone needs it medically, as an example. The concern is how quickly these medications have become normalized and promoted for cosmetic weight loss and even lifelong use among people who may not medically need them. And while GLP 1s have been around for years, that isn’t the same as having decades of data on this level of widespread use AND abuse as we’re starting to see. That’s the nuance I’m calling out. Please use your critical thinking skills here.

  I had cosmetic surgery after a horrific car accident. I was 17. I&apos;m 62 now, thank you to that surgeon!

  I love Terry Dubrow but let’s be real he lives in a different world to the rest of us. I expect he has his own gym, private chefs because Heather don’t cook so excellent nutrition. Rich people don’t have to search for food they can afford or cancel gym memberships because they cost so much and is something we’d love to be able to afford but in our real world most of what he and other rich people have is way beyond our means. He looks fabulous and I love his personality and I loved this interview. While I’m still waiting for 2 new knees on the NHS I’ll do as much as I can to stay strong.

  This softened my opinion of Dr Dubrow. I think in his early tv career he enabled the toxicity of the extreme beauty trends at the time. However he has clearly grown whilst honing his skills and I want to acknowledge that. It&apos;s encouraging to see that people can see and try to fix their mistakes 💚💜💙

  my mum is 70 but she loves &apos; Botched&apos;☺, Terry and his co-worker are very down to earth and so normal
