  Very proud of Napoleon Solo who ran an excellent race and just missed. Gteat ride by Johnny V. I was rooting for him and Leading Change hoping for a 1-2 finish with LC 1st and NS 2nd. Golden Tempo runs like Sierra Leone. I love Sierra Leone because he is a Gun Runner but I always feel bad for the horses that take the lead but are unable to sustain it if they go too fast. They do the work only to set it up for the closers.

  Golden Tempo didn’t lose his rider did he could have taken the outside route like he did before but Jose f ed up she told him before if you go inside and he has to stop and go again your probably going to lose and that’s exactly what happened

  The reason Golden Tempo lost was because he missed some time. It was 84 days between races. So he was short. The fact that he was still that close at 10 furlongs is testimony to his quality, albeit vs a weak crop. The fact that the winner won this race was also a commentary on the weakness of this crop. Good for him, but honestly, to have a horse start his career in June of his 3YO season, win a GIII, and then beat a field which included the KD/Belmont winner, the Preakness winner and the Jim Dandy winner means the 3YO crop sucks. It&apos;s not as if the winner set a track record. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flSuq6o2Xro&amp;t=122">2:02</a> and change for 10 furlongs is decent, but not particularly fast on a fast track for (supposedly) GI company. He may go on to be something special but he&apos;s still got a lot to prove. As far as the BC Classic goes, it&apos;s highly unlikely that any of these 3YOs can beat their elders based on this. Anything can happen, I guess, but I wouldn&apos;t bet on it.<br>Golden Tempo needs to stay healthy and get another race between now and November. He won&apos;t improve enough off works alone to be a legit threat against a tougher field. Renegade had no visible excuse, and should seek another race. Napoleon Solo is in a tough spot. He ran well, and the Preakness and the Indiana Derby both look pretty good now. But not against older horses.

  THE PACE WAS A SLOW PACE SO FOR GOLDEN TEMPLE TO BE CHARGING HE NEEDED 111.0 AT THE HALF AND 137.0 AT THE 3/4 TO HAVE A LOGICAL CHARGE AT THE FRONT RUNNERS AND THATS WHY THE WINNER HAD ONE IN HIS PREVIOUS RACE HE RAN FASTER AND THIS RACE HE RAN SLOWER AND OUT DUALED NEPOLIAN SOLO TO WIN AS HE TOOK OVER THE RACE HALF WAY DOWN THE LANE YOU KNEW HE HAD MORE TO GIVE

  Tough off a long layoff. Yes if he went outside maybe would have been better but he ran pretty well.

  I thought it was weird the Cherie was frozen to the spot when Englishman won. Not a flicker. I think she knew Goldie wasn’t right and was stressed and anxious.<br>Next race at Halloween?

  How do you not know..He was really ready, after his 12 weeks time out. Where he was pointed to run in the Jim Dandy. And he was taken out of training for 10 days because of a injury. I would had not entered him and let him heal properly. <br><br>Next year there be a CHAMPIONSHIP &nbsp; SERIES for 3 years old. The Triple Crown is over <br><br>p.s. not many 3 years olds win the Breeder&apos;s Classic race.

  Anythink can happen in a horse race , &nbsp;closers usually need a fast pace up front that collapses in the last 1/16 or so this didn&apos;t happen this time
