I couldn't help but cheer when I saw this! I'm so happy you're watching more Defunctland. This is one of my personal favorites. Those mascot costumes are HORRIFYING!

Hearing Rosie call Nickelodeon "the hand me down child" when Nick was a legitimate competitor for Disney, as far as shows and the channel were concerned.

It was the rise of Cartoon Network as much as the poor investment choices that brought Nickelodeon down.

Nickelodeon had some seriously good shows on back in the days before they became the SpongeBob company.

All of the human character costumes are nightmare fuel... except the Danny Phantom one. That one is pretty alright.

I remember so badly wanting to go here as a kid. I remember seeing it from the highway while travelling with family to Disney World one year, but that's the closest I've ever gotten to it.

Also, in response to that one chatter at the end, mentioning Treasure Island, I'm pretty sure that's just from the "ABANDONED BY DISNEY" creepypasta with the living photo-negative Mickey Mouse costume that takes its own head off. However, there is a still-standing abandoned Disney park that is still technically accessible to guests, but would probably get you banned from Disney property if you were ever caught there. It was on a small island in the man-made lagoon in front of the Magic Kingdom, just a little ways away from the Fort Wilderness campgrounds. It was called Discovery Island, and it was basically a small zoo. It was closed in either the late 90's or early 2000's, around the time Animal Kingdom was opened, but many of the animals on the island were left there to fend for themselves for years after the park closed. If you take the ferryboat from the campground to the Magic Kingdom, you can still see the netting in the trees that kept the birds on display there from flying away. There was also the water park River Country that was left abandoned for years after closing in the early 2000's, but the site for that's since been torn down to make way for a new Disney hotel.

I was hoping Rosie would notice or react to how Otis and Bessie are being milked at 13:43 🤣

Ooo! Defunctland is one of the best YouTube channels ever and I LOVE watching people react to him too! If you’re willing to watch a longer video by him, I’d highly recommend his video on the Disney Channel Theme mystery. It might sound kinda boring, but I promise it’s his best video and I actually cried during it because of how emotional it made me which I did not expect. So few people react to that one because the title sounds uninteresting I guess and it’s kinda long, but I’d love to see you check it out! It’s literally Defunctland’s best video.

I went to Wikipedia to set up a joke comment and I was today years old when I found out there are MULTIPLE Nickelodeon Resorts now.

24:29 for example Kim Possible's World Showcase Adventure was replaced by Agent P's World Showcase Adventure in 2012, and that was replaced by Ducktales World Showcase Adventure in 2020
