  Welcome to the club. When the 1st Switch came out it was revolutionary. We had our first baby in 2018 so you can imagine my gaming time during the young stage was very limited. Played an hour or two while she slept on my shoulder and an hour or two before bedtime in bed. It was a game changer. Now, we play Minecraft together and have made so many little towns in her worlds. It’s been priceless man. Wonderful experience; to game with your little one.

  Another thing about Nintendo is that their games are designed to be fun without stressing you out. You don't get frustrated dying a hundred times to a boss. You don't get thrown into some dark, heavy, depressing setting of a story. It's colorful, it's vibrant, it's simple, it's pure joy to play.

  Perfect review and use case.  I'm a dad with young kids too, and the ability to pick it up for a few minutes and then set it down really is where the magic of the device shines.  I gave my daughter my old Switch 1 and she loves Animal Crossing so much.  I even bought another copy of Mario Kart 8 just so we could play together on longer car rides.  Nintendo really does a great job of understanding their audience and delivering products that both adults and children can use with very little effort.

  I completely agree. Im a father of 3. Have a time demanding job too. Despite owning a powerful pc and ps5...i spend almost all my gaming time with the switch. Its just so simple and perfect for short spurts of gameplay.  Its super quick to just jump into a game. Love it honestly.

  I have Steam Deck OLED, Switch OLED, gaming laptop, and a Switch 2. Honestly Since launch Ive only played my Switch 2. I don’t even play handheld as i have it docked to my tv in the bedroom. It’s just so easy to prop up in the bed, grab the pro controller and just jump right into a game. And the sleep function is the chef’s kiss when you are sleepy and just don’t want to look for a save point.

  Same. I was a PC + Nintendo gamer, I became a dad and then Switch launched in 2017... it became my central playing device and the PC slowly faded away. Not only being a dad but also 8+ hours in front of a PC for work, I did not have the will and the energy to put me again in front of a screen/keyboard/mouse again to play. Even with a lot of shortcomings and compromises, I was able to play more than ever on Switch... now Switch 2 is a gigantic leap forward and I'm playing it even more... even if my daughter is not a baby anymore, touching end experiencing the hybrid experience makes me see a return to static only systems as a big downgrade.

  Contrary to internet opinion, if there&apos;s one device that &quot;Just Works&quot;, it&apos;s definitely the switch 2.<br><br>Best part about it for me is how game focused it is. You turn it on and 70% of the menu is literally just your row of games. Easily the least bloated gaming menu out there imo.<br><br>All social features and extra content is either relegated to the small bottom row, and tucked away in a small icon. I can&apos;t tell how easy that makes it to just hop on a game as soon as you pick it up

  You also get a huge bonus: the option for physical games. I like to have my favorite game series as a phyiscal game. I prefer console gaming over PC because of the optimization. Your mind is 100% into the game (not a single waste of time around the experience itself). I still have my 4070 Laptop as an option, but prefer PS5 + Switch 2 for gaming.
