Even though the The Joshua Tree became the Magnus Opus it is, to my heart, this album is the heart of U2. Their most unique and introspective.

It's still one of their best recordings.

While my compatriots were out partying in high school, I was watching this VHS over and over on late weekend nights.

even with all the technology we have nothing beats four guys jamming in a great sounding room. They should get back with eno

Always had mad respect for U for keeping it together all these years. No solo crap and other stuff just all for the band.

Looking back, I feel like I grew up with U2. They were young, honest, open, pure. Willing to experiment and try out any song. I want to go back to that amazing time in 1984!
The last time I was genuinely happy!
They made me happy

Probably my favourite U2 album. Bono had a spiritual awareness right back then. Beautiful songs. Edge's guitar work helped along by ENO was ethereal......
