  What stood out to me most is how indie games keep proving that creativity matters more than budget. A lot of these games sound like ideas that would never survive a giant corporate pitch meeting, but that is exactly what makes them interesting. Downwell, Wonder Boy, and Victory Heat Rally especially show how strong a simple idea can be when the game's feel is clear and polished. As a Nintendo- and accessibility-focused gamer, I also appreciate how many indie games work well for shorter play sessions. Sometimes I do not need a massive open world or a 100-hour commitment. I want something creative, readable, and fun that respects my time. This series is a great reminder that some of the most memorable gaming experiences are hiding in the "weird little treasures" pile.

  I appreciate the early morning posts. It’s nice being able to watch this on the way to work instead of paying attention to the road or having the typical existential dread of being a 47 year old English major who somehow conned his way into being a manager of a group of engineers who are all way smarter than me and have their life way more together than me. That’s not a very pleasant 30 minute drive.
